Stress Indicators has responded to increasing customer demand by significantly increasing its production capacity. The addition of a new CNC Turning Center is the centerpiece of the expansion, not only because it increases factory throughput for machining bolts, but also because it can accommodate fasteners as large as 2.5” (M64) in diameter.
With the new CNC also comes the addition of a large capacity press. As a result Stress Indicators now has a complete, dedicated line to machine and assemble SmartBolts up to 2.5” (M64) in diameter, including testing completed SmartBolts up to 450,000 pounds-force (2,000 kilonewtons) on its recently added Model K Skidmore Wilhelm Tension Tester.
